Federal Council confirms election of Stefan Walter as FINMA CEO
Bern, 24.1.2024 - At the request of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), the Federal Council confirmed the election of Stefan Walter as CEO of FINMA at its meeting on 24 January 2024. Stefan Walter, currently Director General Horizontal Line Supervision at the European Central Bank, will take up his post on 1 April 2024.
